sooooo my last newsletter was in november and then i stopped writing for this publication for a while.
i have kind of been exhausted in general but especially by the internet.
there is *discourse* happening every 2.5 seconds and i think my mind had enough.
like the way folks hold doechii, chappell roan and rachel zegler to the standards they should be holding their elected officials.
how it’s “normal” to commodify suffering to appease algorithms and when you’re like “hey this is weird,” folks are like “touch grass.”
what is the point of sharing at this point?
that’s been a repeating question and i think taking time away has revealed some answers for me. not enough but i don’t feel a desperation in sharing anymore?
i’ve been putting some of the same ideas on the internet for at least a decade and in that time i have seen shifts in culture, particularly in relation to healthcare that to me confirm that the words were worth it and i’ve said more than enough in this lifetime.
this feeling has been a bit cathartic. found not only through speaking to folks who directly correlate my work *on and offline* with their realities but also seeing some of my heart on screen in shows like “The Pitt.”
these glimmers of hope offer reminders that everything we do matters.
i think my focus now is ensuring the quality of every action i take and that my integrity and values are always front and center.
i hope that you are well and cared for in this moment and i am grateful to enter a season of unapologetic truth alongside you.
all my love, sarah e warren.
